Meet Dr. Lori

Founder & President of The James M. Dixon Foundation

Dr. Lori-Renee Dixon James is an educator, author, caregiver advocate, and community leader dedicated to improving the lives of caregivers and those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Following the loss of her father, James M. Dixon Sr., after his battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Dr. Lori began dedicating her work to supporting caregivers and expanding dementia education, particularly within the underserved community. Her advocacy focuses on intentional caregiving, caregiver wellness, and ensuring families have access to the resources, education, and support they need throughout their journey.

Dr. Lori has created resources and initiatives that support caregivers, seniors, and those living with dementia, now benefiting communities across the United States and internationally. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Quality Living Services, Inc., supporting efforts to improve care and quality of life for seniors in Atlanta.
